
After school special fun!!
Some of our CLC students got to go shopping with Police Officers after school this week! They got to enjoy getting to know the officers and buying toys for those in need!




Today is a beautiful December day, but we know it can't last forever in South Dakota! Make sure you and your student(s) know how to access Canvas for remote learning when weather that keeps kids home can be predicted in advance.


Parent English Classes starting in January!

A 4th and 5th grade students had a wonderful concert yesterday and an even better night performance. It was so exciting to see all of the students show up and put on their best show. They worked so hard to learn all of their music and pieces for this performance.
Thank you to our music department educators for all of their hard work in helping our students learn and grow.

The 5th grade vocal, 5th grade band and 4th/5th orchestra concert will be held this coming Monday, December 4th. The two performance times are 9:20am and 6:00pm.
Our talented students would love to share with you all they have been learning!

Veterans Day Celebration

It was a good day to celebrate all of our success throughout Quarter 1 of the 23-24 school year! From Leader in Me slips to academic growth to attendance, we are celebrating it all! Anne Sullivan students are working hard every day to set and meet their goals! Way to go! 🎉

⚽ Soccer Tournament Time! ⚽ Festival of Champions! ⚽
This Saturday, Oct. 21st, ALL the neighborhood soccer programs will be getting together for a tournament called the Festival of Champions! IF your child has been attending Saturday soccer practices then read below!
It will be at the Sanford Soccer Complex (3200 N. Westport Ave, Sioux Falls, SD, 57017). Students need to be AT SCHOOL at 8:30 on Saturday morning to be ready to load the bus. Lunch will be served to players, families and volunteers. The busses will bring students back around 12:30 pm on Saturday.
If you are not riding the bus, you can meet your child's team at the fields.
Remind students to dress in layers tomorrow!! It will be chilly right away in the morning but will be warmer and sunny as they wrap up around 11:30-12. Sweatshirt and sweatpants over shorts and their SOCCER JERSEY!! They also need to bring their shin guards and tennis shoes/soccer shoes with them!! If they have a water bottle to bring that would be great but they are in charge of it.


Reminder!
There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, October 9th and Tuesday, October 10th! The students will return to school on Wednesday the 11th!
There are parent teacher conferences on Tuesday the 10th and Thursday the 12th!
Enjoy the extra days off!


Kindergarten ABC Fashion Show!
Today our K03 students put on an alphabet fashion show to display their learning of all the letters! They made capes and crowns and got to walk the runway!
Way to go Kindergarten and thank you Mrs. Lone for all of this learning fun! 🔤🎉








📚 The Book Fair is Here! 📚
Anne Sullivan families, it is that time of year again where the book fair is coming to school!
During parent-teacher conferences there will be a book fair in the library for all to come and check out!
October 10th from 12-7 and October 12th from 3-7!



🧹 National Custodian Day! 🧹
Let's take a minute to celebrate our wonderful custodians! These individuals work so hard each and every day to clean our school building and school grounds. They help in the lunchrooms, model leadership skills, and build connections with our students.
We want to thank them for all of their hard work!




✏ Fall Conferences! ✏
Parents and Guardians,
It is time for parent teacher conferences! As we finish up the first quarter, we want to welcome all of you back to school to meet with your child's teacher and see all of their growth and progress. This week there will be a conference slip coming home with your child to let you know when your time slot is. If you need to change this, please feel free to contact your child's teacher or the office!
Conferences will be October 10th from 12-7pm and October 12th from 3-7!
We can't wait to see you all back at Anne Sullivan.


🎃Punpkin Donation🎃
Today Anne Sullivan students got to pick their very own pumpkin to take home! A farmer from Canton generously donated a large amount of pumpkins for students to take home!



EVERY CHILD MATTERS!
Saturday, September 30th, 2023 is Orange Shirt Day which began in Canada in 2013. It promotes awareness about the history of American Indian and Native Residential boarding school systems which still impact Native American and First Nations communities in the United States and Canada.
To help celebrate this day students can wear orange shirts on Friday, September 29th!
